![]() ![]() I’ve always wondered if that movie’s going to get made.Ĭo-writer Nick Lathouris is returning to write Furiosa with Miller. The actress, who played Angharad in Fury Road, said: In fact, before Fury Road went into shooting, Miller had a script ready for the prequel, which was also read by actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. While writing Fury Road, Miller said he had prepared extensive backstories for other characters in the film and that a full-fledged storyline centered around Furiosa was always in store from the beginning. Miller had written the script for Furiosa earlier, right after the production of Fury Road. The film is written by George Miller, who will also serve as the film's director. On July 4th, Twitter leaked a photo of Hemsworth on set with a massive red beard and a huge mustache. It's speculated that Hemsworth might be portraying the film's primary antagonist. Hemsworth confirmed his casting through Instagram, sharing his excitement and promising to honor the legacy of the Mad Max films. ![]() The most notable addition to the cast is Chris Hemsworth, famous for portraying Thor in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Aside from this cast announcement, there are a few actors who beg one to speculate on their possible characters. *Aside from Anya Taylor-Joy, we only know for certain one other Mad Max character that will appear in this film: Nathan Jones will be returning from Fury Road to reprise his role as Rictus Erectus. Taylor-Joy won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress - Miniseries or Television Film and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie. She has received notable acclaim for her roles in Autumn de Wilde's Emma, and the Netflix hit The Queen's Gambit. In October 2020, Anya Taylor-Joy was confirmed for the role. Miller has started raising a team of talented actors to fit the cast. ![]() It is expected to span several years, which may clear up the state of events in that post-apocalyptic world. But if we assume that all these films are part of the same continuity, and since Miller has created an extensive backstory for Furiosa's character, we can hope for some references to the original films of the franchise. So, whatever connection it establishes would directly refer to the events of Fury Road. It's a direct prequel to the film, and the character Imperator Furiosa wasn't a part of Mel Gibson's Mad Max Trilogy. Related: Taika Waititi Says He Would Do Thor 5 if Chris Hemsworth Wants to Returnįuriosa would be on the same timeline in which Fury Road exists. Given that Max is depicted as a bit jaded and weary in Fury Road compared to its predecessor, one can argue that the film might take place in the later years of Max's life however, it can't be definitively confirmed. ![]() Fury Road is mostly considered to be a sequel in that franchise. Since there was a considerable gap between the release dates of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome and Fury Road, there is no telling how these films are interconnected. The timeline of Mad Max films has been under constant debate. Furiosa executes the film's fundamentals, further empowered by the impressive cinematography and visual effects work of the movie. Despite the fact that Fury Road was centered around Tom Hardy's Max Rockatansky, Theron's Furiosa becomes the cynosure of the film and the one who constructs the subtexts of Miller's story. #Mad max film series movieThe movie had themes of feminism, along with slavery, oppression, social stratification, and climate degradation. The story of Fury Road revolves around her alliance with Max as they struggle to defeat Immortan Joe and escape with his concubines to Green Place. She decides to save Joe's concubines and search for Green Place, a fable she remembers from her childhood. However, when she is sent off to ferry oil back from Gas Town, she betrays Immortan Joe. She's been entrusted with a powerful, armored war rig and commands a small force of Joe's War Boys. Played by Charlize Theron, Furiosa handles logistics for Immortan Joe and is his true confidante. Imperator Furiosa was a fresh character George Miller introduced in Fury Road, and she hadn't appeared in the Mel Gibson films from the '80s. ![]()

I mix well, let it sit for a while to hydrate the herbs, then taste to get a rough idea - usually I end up adding a bit more salt, sometimes more herbs (depending on how flavorful I want it), adjust the thickness with paste or water. I usually mix about equal parts paste and water, add a half teaspoon or so of salt, and some dried herbs, whatever I have on hand (italian mix, garlic or onion powder, basil, whatever). Usually, I'm making just a little bit at a time, maybe a half a cup or so (for tortilla pizzas or the like). Salt for me is usually the catalytic that makes it go from watery paste to sauce-flavored, for me - and it takes a bit before the result stops tasting watery. I've made basic sauce from tomato paste, since it's easy to keep and store - and once I have the can open, I would rather use it than wait for it to go bad while I open a separate tomato sauce. I never serve this to anyone other than family though, it's too hard to get the acidity flavor out if you make a batch bigger than 3 - 4 servings.įrom your description, the "thing missing" that jumped out at me was salt.Īlso, spices and herbs help give a better, more familiar taste. A lot of red sauces made by Italians will actually have the meatballs or sausage cooking in the sauce simultaneously, so substituting some or all the water for meat (your choice, but I prefer beef) stock for more authentic flavor is desirable to some. These recipes almost always start with sautéing onions and garlic in olive oil, and adding an optional cup of red wine along with basil, oregano and a little Romano/Parmesan. ![]() Eatstatic just did it the other way around, 1 cup tomato paste : 1 1/3 cup water. ![]() This is a really old post, so you might nit even see my answer, but to go off what eatstatic said, Ive seen recipes online that say 1 cup water : 3/4 cup tomato paste. People like it because it's very difficult to dislike in it's so straightforward! :) You could add a tablespoon of tomato paste with some garlic and basil to it just to give it a bit of a that taste, but it's what I do if I don't have crushed tomatoes. It's incredible easy, uses all pantry ingredients, and it's really good. Don't drain it afterward, but add a good handful of parmesan cheese and a good shake of black pepper. So, your answer, dear friend, is "beats the heck out of me." Some say it can be done with great results, but I have doubts.īetter off to take the pasta and make a soup of it using chicken broth instead of water to boil the pasta. Has a strange taste and it's not kept on hand to make sauce. I'm also Italian and I know that we don't use tomato paste for this purpose either, it's too dense. But I have been stuck with just one small can of tomato paste and left with the DAUNTING talk of trying to turn into an edible sauce, on it's own. Pastene canned tomatoes works much better. I never use tomato paste alone to make a sauce. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Peckel Möller in his 1895 monograph Cod Liver Oil and Chemistry, “cod-liver oil was not a desirable article of consumption indeed, to put the matter plainly, it was an abomination, and no one could have taken it willingly, even once, not to speak of day after day and month after month. The oil grew darker during the rotting process, resulting in three grades: pale, light brown, and dark brown. Fishermen often applied heat to extract the last bits of oil from the smelly, decaying mass. Its manufacture was simple: cut out the fish livers (with gallbladders), throw them into barrels, and let them decompose. Understanding the general feel of your city is handled by a group of advisors, who summarize their needs with singular sound bytes. There’s never a sense of interaction between the populace and infrastructure beyond the most abstract and mathematical contact. They shuffle to the wheat fields, shuffle to the granary, shuffle to the baths, and so on. Moreover, unlike CivCity: Rome, citizens in Caesar IV look and move like faceless automatons. The narrowed space that remains makes organizing new construction a serious pain this is exacerbated by the need to use the menus constantly due to a lack of sufficient hotkeys. You have to go through at least two sub-menus until you find the building that you want to place, and then those menus just stay on the screen. General city construction is just as awkward. When you have to engage in the same sequence of click-click-click for every demand from Rome, well… it just gets annoying.
